Greenlake home renovation

We’ve seen a lot of homes, but very few have given us true heebie-jeebies—this one did. What started as a small but mighty home in need of reconfiguration turned into one of our most dramatic transformations.

We removed a deck to allow for new construction next door, closed off an exterior door and interior walkway to create a more efficient kitchen layout, and rerouted the basement staircase to meet code—and to make it far less of a tripping hazard. The basement itself underwent a complete reinvention: opened up for better flow, outfitted with French doors leading to a new patio, and finished with a bedroom, bathroom, living area, and wet bar.

The result? A once-feared basement that became one of the home’s most loved features—earning more compliments than any other space we’ve created.
